TAM was founded in 1987 by Erwin G. Sütterlin in an old farm building at the eastern border of Weil am Rhein. The stage is located in the former hay barn in the upper floor, in the groud floor there is a restaurant.
The amateur crew has specialized in comedy. Since 2001 there has been a new, always highly successful program each year.
Apart from their own productions the theater is also used for cabaret and lectures.
