The hydroelectric power plant of Ryburg-Schwörstadt was built 1927-1931 across the river Rhine that is the border between Switzerland and Germany. The plant also includes a small road for pedestrians and bikers. The road runs along the dam and then turns around the turbine house. Some steps after the corner of the building there is the official marker of the border and a explanatory sign of the Swiss customs.

The border marker has two letters next to the border line. For Switzerland it is the expected "S", the German side does not have a "D" as usual, but a "B" instead for Baden (at the time of construction, today Baden-Württemberg).
Type Of Crossing: Country
