Möhlinbach is a small river with a length of 15 km and a drainage area area of 26.6 km2 in the canton Aargau, Switzerland. The origin is located in the hills between Wegenstetten and Hemmiken in the southeast. Then it flows through the municipalities Hellikon, Zuzgen, Zeiningen and finally Möhlin that also gave the name to the river and its area, Möhlintal.

The Rhine is one of Europe's largest rivers with a length of over 1,200 km from the Alps to the North Sea. In its drainage area live over 50 mio. people.

The confluence is located north of Möhlin. The Rhine has very little current there as a result of the retaining dam of a hydroelectric power plant about 500 meters downstream. There is a hiking path along the Rhine that crosses Möhlinbach a few steps from the confluence, there the path branches into a footpath along Möhlinbach leading into town. There is no access for motorized vehicles (except boats) in the direct surrounding. Some parkings are about 500 meters away in the east, in the south as well as in the west.
