Another year, another summer and another boardwalk-amusement park adventure. The kids are older and taller so more rides are now available to us. We are going back tomorrow (08 27 12) for a play date only this time it is wrist band day (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.); $20 per kid gets you a full three hours of rides without buying the expensive tickets. If you do not mind waking 6 blocks, you can park for free on west street, or thereabouts (near the high school auditorium) and save $10 or meter-worry.\
If you have children and visit the boardwalk, Ocean City's main tourist attraction, then you will absolutely have to visit Gillians. When we go, we used to have to stick to the kiddy rides which can be found under the roof. The big boy rides include a few coasters, and other fast moving rides the move you back and forth or yank you side to side with the occasional upside down feature. The carousel is the cheapest and most popular amongst the children, That ride is under cover as well. Gillians is usually pay as you go and rides are anywhere from one ticket to five tickets. The more tickets you buy, the cheaper they become. 1 ticket is $1, 30 tickets is $20, 75 tickets is $50. Before the season begins they sell tickets for half price. Hours are 12 PM to Close (11 PM Sometimes, they are flexible)
