One month after the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, the people of the town of Tewskbury placed a memorial in remembrance of the victims of this Oklahoma City bombing on the town common. A small apple tree shades a bronze plaque which is attached to a small rectangular concrete base. The plaque is inscribed:
THE PEOPLE OF TEWKSBURY
LOVINGLY REMEMBER THE VICTIMS
ESPECIALLY THE CHILDREN,
OF THE OKLAHOMA BOMBING
APRIL 19, 1995
"A MOMENT IN TIME
NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN"
