As you enter Duncan from the South on US 81, especially if you're exiting off SH 7 East, you can't miss the park. The very large logo announcing the arboretum as a Bicentennial project is fixed in the ground, kind of like one of those floral clocks.
Because the park is almost 40-years-old, the trees are quite mature which makes it a very shady walk. There is a very nice path to follow. All is quite clean and all the trees have nice wooden signs. I actually suspect that the park is used very little. Of all the times Team Blakelylaw has driven into Duncan from the South, I don't believe I have ever seen a person inside the park.
Because the park was a Bicentennial project, it also contains a time capsule which is to be opened on America's Tricentennial.
