This is the first tree noticed en route to Hensley Settlement reconstructed village on top of Brush mountain. I find it amazing that it is located along a public highway used on a regular basis and not being mentioned.
This may mark an alternative route used by Native Americans instead of heavy traveled Wilderness Trail. The second Trail tree was posted earlier and it points North towards the valley below with creeks.
My first exposure to Native American Trail trees was one located behind my grandparents place on Hances Creek. It pointed South towards the Gap. My mother took a picture of my sister sitting on it and we called the "Horse tree".
