Fuqua Park is a large park along US 81 in the middle of Duncan. You can't, however, enter the park off of the highway. At one time there were two entrances, the one marked by this gate and another one on W. Beech Ave.
You can no longer enter the park through this gate, you can only exit. The Beech Ave. entrance has a pair of small gate posts on either side which, based on design and looks, we also suspect was built by the WPA. We could not, however, locate a marker on that gate.
The waymarked gate is on the far east side of the park. It is the typical WPA stonework with which most of us are familiar.
