The Marian column standing on main square of city Kojetín (Central Moravia) is from an iconographic point of view considered as plaque column. According to inscription on pedestals it was commissioned and donated by local burgher Johanes Kulhan and his wife Alzbeta (Elisabeth) as thak to God for sparing their lives from a plague, which struck Moravia in these times. The column was erected in 1705. On the top of the 10.5 meters high column is statue of Immaculate Conception of Virgin Mary. The column was renovated in 1996.
