A freestanding town clock is located at Wick & Green Plaza at the corner of Patton Ave and Otis St in Asheville NC. This clock by Seth Thomas was operating and showing the correct time when we visited, Aug 2012.

The clock has a cast iron base painted dark green, about 5 m high. The casting includes the maker’s name, Seth Thomas, a well known Connecticut clock maker. The Wick & Green clock in Asheville is sponsored by the adjacent Wick & Green Jewelers as indicated on the clock face. There are hour ond minute hands only on this town clock.
I am pleased to own an Seth Thomas ships clock, over 150 years old, that rings 8eight bells every watch, 4 hours.
