The Coastal Plains Walk Trail is a 55 km (34 mi) trail located in the northern outer region of the greater Perth metropolis. It starts within the Yanchep National Park (approximately 6 km (4 mi) north of the McNess House Visitors Centre within the park) and ends in the Melaleuca Park (proposed Nature Reserve), west of Bullsbrook (northeast of Wanneroo). The trail is fairly well established, with four campsites (Shapcotts, Ridges, Moitch, and Prickly Bark). The southern terminus is 2.7 km (1.7 mi) east of Prickly Bark campsite on Coopers Road.
The register is the campsite reqister. The idea is that daywalkers and overnighters record their visit, their walking experience and any issues of relevance to other walkers.
