Lemhi Pass was placed on the National Register of Historic Places as a National Historic Landmark on Oct. 15, 1966 and includes the Sacajawea Memorial Area. There is an interpretive trail with signs about Sacajawea, the Memorial Area, and Lewis & Clark at the headwaters of the Missouri.
