The meaning of the flag: Key and sword are the symbols of the Apostles Peter and Paul, who are the patrons of the old (Christian-Catholic) church in the town center (and also of the newer Roman Catholic church 300 meters east).
I fould this flag at the wall of a historic half-timbered house in the center of Allschwil.
