One of the hiking paths from Mittelhäusern down to the gorge of the river Sense (there are several) leads through a little forest along a side valley and then over this stairway down the gorge.
It is made of logs of wood and leads down to the path along the river. I have not counted the steps, but I guess there are about 200 steps, maybe more. The stairs makes several turns and there is no place you could overlook the whole stairway.
