This wat is located a little to the east of the city centre, and is apparently, one of the more important temples in the province, however, I was not able to ascertain just why it is so important. The wat is well maintained, has one central hall, which was locked when I visited, and has a multitude of Buddhist statues and murals on its exterior. There are quarters for monks. Entry is unrestricted. The name of the wat was told to me by a local guide.
