The house appears to be private and residential, but a nice view can be had from the historical marker at the road.

The Historical Marker Reads:

"A hexagonal fieldstone structure built ca. 1850 by local stone mason Joshua W. Stevens, the Prospect School served grades one through eight until 1930. Polygonal buildings - more typically octagons - were promoted in the mid 19th century for their economical construction, thermal efficiency, and natural light. The Prospect School is a rare example of the polygonal style adapted to school use in Maryland."

An inventory form for the state Historic surveys at (visit link) gives details of the building and it's consruction along with interior pictures.
