EN: The railway station of Beinwil am See opened on September 3, 1883 when the fist part of Seetalbahn to Luzern was finished. The line was extended to Lenzburg later the same year. In 1887 a branch line opened to Reinach and later Beromünster but was abandoned in 1991.
The line from Luzern to Lenzburg became the S9 of the Luzern commuter train system in 2004. There is one train every 30 minutes in each direction during peak times, once an hour for the rest of the day.
The station buildings are still the original from the early days. The main building is half-timbered, the freight building is stone with a wooden annex. The former ticket counter is now a grocery store.
DE: Der Bahnhof von Beinwil am See eröffnete am 3. September 1883 auf dem ersten fertiggestellten Teil der Seetalbahn nach Luzern. Die Linie wurde im selben Jahr bis nach Lenzburg erweitert. Im Jahre 1887 wurde eine Zweiglinie nach Reinach und später Beromünster eröffnet, diese wurde aber 1991 eingestellt.
Die Strecke zwischen Luzern und Lenzburg wird seit 2004 von der Linie S9 des Luzern-S-Bahn-Systems befahren. Es gibt in Stosszeiten einen Zug alle 30 Minuten pro Richtung, sonst einmal pro Stunde.
Die Bahnhofsgebäude sind immer noch das Original aus den frühen Tagen. Das Hauptgebäude ist Fachwerk, das Frachtgebäude aus Stein mit hölzernem Anbau. Der ehemalige Fahrkartenschalter ist jetzt ein Lebensmittelgeschäft.
