The “The Geologic Story” sign includes an orientation diagram across the top of the sign. The diagram shows the view to the west along the Continental Divide north and south of Lemhi Pass. The sign is one of a group of six at the Shoshone Ridge Viewpoint.

The Shoshone Ridge interpretive site is located along Mont. Hwy. 324 overlooking the Horse Prairie Valley through which Lewis & Clark passed on the way to Lemhi Pass.
