Yost Dreisbach was born in Oberndorf, Wittgenstein, Germany on November 21, 1721. He worked as a blacksmith and an owner of a grist mill. During the Revolutionary War he served as a Colonel in the 3rd Battalion Northampton Militia. He died October 17, 1794.
