This caboose is located south behind the McDonald's off Airport Road in Swanton. It has been used as a special room for parties in the past.
These cabooses were built between May 1948 and July 1954 by the DL&W railroad (Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad) in their Keyser Valley Shops near Scranton, PA. Designated as Class: NE. this is the last of a series of 60 that were built on the frames of scrapped 2100 and 2200 steam locomotive tenders.
This is the former DL&W 910, built 7/54.
Current Use: Restuarant's special party room.
