"Die Geschichte von Sinesbrunn laut einem Bild:
Das Gnadenbild Maria ist von alten Zeiten in diesem Wald auf einem Baum gestanden. Die Bergknappen sind schon dort die ersten und besten Ver- ehrer gewesen und haben öfters vor selben Baum ein Lichtlein ange- zündet. Im Jahre 1777 ist von Johann Gapp zur Ehre der Mutter Gottes eine kleine Kapelle errichtet worden. Im Jahre 1829 ist von den benachbarten Gemeindsleuten durch Arbeit oder Guttätigkeit diese Kapelle erbaut worden. Am 26. Juli des selben Jahres bei einer großen Volksmenge mit Vergießung häufiger Freudentränen unter feierlichem Mitklang und Pöller- knallen ist das Gnadenbild in diese Kapelle übertragen worden und da vielen Menschen durch die Fürbitte Maria in ihren Nöten ist geholfen worden." - Quelle: (
