Mt. Sugarloaf, is a butte type mountain rising abruptly from the Connecticut River floodplain in South Deerfield, MA. A coin operated binocular is located at the south edge of the south summit.

Mt. Sugarloaf is composed of a sandstone rock called Sugarloaf Arkose, is a fine example of the type of geology of the Connecticut River Valley. The south summit can be reached by the The Pocumtuck Ridge Trail or by a state maintained auto road. The summit area features a pavilion for picnicking and a two-level lookout tower from which there are panoramic views of the Connecticut River Valley. At the south rim of the summit, beyond the lookout tower, stands a single coin-operated binocular manufactured by Tower Optical Company of Norwalk, CT.
Mt. Sugarloaf reservation is open during daylight hours.
