The original building was built in 1897 and is a three story brick and Lake Superior Brown Stone with an addition being built in 1938. The School was closed in 1972 when the new High School was built at 990 Flambeau Avenue. The old high school building has been renovated and is now The Heritage House Apartments at 300 Cherry Street.
