The sign for Tafarn Pennionyn appear to show a jolly pub employee carrying drinks on a tray.
Tafarn Pennionyn is the local village pub for Groeslon (also known as Y Groeslon) in Gwynedd.
The pub was formally known as the Llanfair Arms and would have been a convenient watering hole for those stopping off at Groeslon railway station.
The station and the railway line have now gone, but visitors still arrive via the Lôn Eifion cycle track which follows the route of the old track.
