The sundial is unique in that it is in the shape of a globe with a rod running through it. It has Roman numerals on the inside of the globe and as the sun moves across the sky, it casts a shadow from the rod across the Roman numerals.
The globe is about 4 feet in diameter and the rod is about 5 feet long with an American Legion emblem on the bottom end.
It sits on top of a concrete base about 4 feet high. Engraved on the concret are the words "We forever honor those who gave their lives for God and Country"
Built May 27, 1951.
