This Peers School Site No 18 historical marker is one of a series of wooden markers placed by the North Chisago Historical Society. Located on the Old Government Road, it marks the location of the school site for School District No 18.

In 1871, George Folsom deeded this land in Rushseba township to School District 18. It was known as Peers School for many years. The first Rushseba area school, organized in 1856 was located nearby on the other side of the government road.

Today this site is planted in corn.
