The Dewey United Methodist Church has a bell mounted on a brick base located to the right of the entrance to the sanctuary. On the base is a dated stone that reads:
FIRST
METHODIST
EPISCOPAL
CHURCH
1910 1925
The bell, which can be approached from the front, has the yoke, wheel and clapper intact. The yoke has been patched with a metal bar that is bolted across the top and down one side. Because of this patch, the makers marks are no longer visible.
