It was initially assigned to 416 Lynx AW(F) Squadron, CFB Chatham, NB. It took part in 1972 William Tell competition at Tyndall AFB, Florida. It was transferred to 409 Hawk AW (F) Sqn, CFB Comox, BC, upon conversion of 416 Sqn to CF18 aircraft. Became Instructional Airframe 816 B on 9 May 1983. Used at CFB Trenton, Ontario, probably for battle damage repair training. Later identified as 008AC. On display at Royal Canadian Air Force Memorial Museum, CFB Trenton, Ontario, as replacement for 101010 which was unceremoniously dumped in the Bay of Quinte while being transferred from CFB Trenton Det Mountain View by 450 Sqn CH147 Chinook 004.
