When the area around the base of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument was renovated, an area for Donated Engraved Bricks was included. They are located at the rear of the monument between two cannon. The red bricks contrast with gray of the monument and concrete areas around it. There are approximately 120 bricks, Many with the names of former members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
