The stadium is located just west of the HCC Sports Arena on East 11th Avenue, just east of the intersection of 11th and Plum.

In 2005, Gowans Stadium received a renovation. The facelift included a new FieldTurf playing surface, new drainage system, track, press box and many other features. Gowans Stadium has a capacity of 5,000. Gowans Stadium also boasts a video board named "DragonVision". Dragonvision enhances the fans' football experience at Gowans Stadium, with instant replays, highlight videos and other interesting features about the community of Hutchinson, Kansas and the Hutchinson Community College.
