A centrally located pub in the small village of Rufford named after the occupants of nearby Rufford Hall (now a National Trust property).
From a review website :-
Saved from redevelopment, the imposing Hesketh Arms at Rufford serves pub food that’s a cut above the normal offering.
This imposing half-Georgian and half-Edwardian building sits on the main A59 Liverpool-Preston road in the village of Rufford. The pub was fully refurbished in 2005 and was literally brought back from the brink after a period of dereliction when plans to convert it into a block of flats fell through. Now boasting stone floors and open fireplaces, the Hesketh Arms is back on the up with a good selection of cask ales and a food offering that’s locally sourced and freshly cooked to order.
