AT THIS LOCATION ON DECEMBER 2, 1868, THE ENGINEERS' CLUB OF ST. LOUIS WAS FOUNDED.
THIS PLAQUE IS TO COMMEMORATE THE CENTENNIAL OF THE CLUB AND TO RECOGNIZE THE CONTRIBUTION TO OUR COMMUNITY AND NATION BY ST. LOUIS ENGINEERS DURING THIS PERIOD.
ERECTED DECEMBER 2, 1968
The Engineers' Club of St. Louis, organized on December 2, 1868, is the third oldest engineering society in America. In addition to Professional Engineers, its membership includes architects, executives and business administrators, as well as men and women in the technical, scientific, educational, marketing and legal fields.
