The so-called 'Universitätssternwarte Pfaffenwald' an astronomical observatory located at the university in Stuttgart-Vaihingen, Germany, Baden-Württemberg is listed in the German Monument Registers.
In 1934 Hermann Fellmeth build the observatory by the architect K. Weber, in addition to his country house 'Pfaffenhof'. He was a leading member of the Bosch and amateur astronomer. At that time there reigned perfect observing conditions, since the university did not exist. He equipped the observatory with two large telescopes: a Cassegrain and a 'Schupmann medial'.
The observatory was donated to the university in 1972.
The four-story, 10 meter high circular building has some architectural features, including an outer circumferential spiral staircase and eye-catching green of the tower' roof. The University Observatory is listed in the German Monument Registers.
There are two teleskopes. These are the original ones from 1934.
