This is a well-kept community cemetery with about 800 graves in it. It is located on 206th Street about 3/4 mile off US Highway 14/281.
Wolsey is a town in Beadle County, South Dakota, about 15 miles west of Huron. Its population was 376 at the 2010 census.
Richard Sears, founder of Sears, Roebuck, and Co. began his career working as a Station Agent for the railroad in Wolsey in the early 1880s.
The area was settled by German, Norwegian, Irish, English, and Welsh immigrants and the town was incorporated on April 7, 1883.
