A slow start festival.

The biggest surprise for me was that things hadn't really started as I had expected. Arriving on the 15th (the advertised 2nd day of the festival as posted on the circus building in Peru) I was surprised that the carnival rides and street vendors were just beginning to set up! The circus was having shows but if I had come for more activities I would have been disappointed. I traveled by the festival the next Friday and all was going strong but attendance was quite light given all the rides and such up and down the streets. Advice for this festival would be check on line and even call first if planing on arriving at the beginning days of the festival.
