We received an email from Scouts' parents:
"Chris is a scout from Troop 818, which is sponsored by Serra Catholic School. Chris and his team of volunteers created mile markers for the Arroyo Trabuco trail at O'Neill and they were put in place in August 2010. Ten markers were put in place for every 1/2 mile through 5 miles (1/2, 1, 1-1/2, etc). The markers were for the first 5 miles of the Arroyo Trabuco Trail. After the big storms and flood in early 2011, the 5 mile marker was washed away, but I believe the remaining markers are still in place.
We really enjoyed helping Chris work on this project and O'Neill Park is just a lovely place to spend time. All of the rangers and volunteers at O'Neill were very helpful and Chris was very fortunate to work with several rangers at the park. Ultimately, Ranger Ellen Loftin helped Chris immensely in getting this project finalized and installed.
Chris graduated from Santa Margarita Catholic High School in 2011 and is now attending U.C. Davis."
