The Victoria is a bit of a blackhole on the internet, I googled away for quite some time and came up with little information I’m afraid.
The property the pub now occupies is a Grade II listed building (details below) originally constructed in around 1840. When 42 & 43 were converted from a residential property to a public house I do not know.
Serves a decent pint though and was a refuge from the convention I was attending across the road!
The pub itself does not even have a website, the brewer Daniel Thwaites does though and can be found
here
If you are so inclined you could visit the Facebook website for the pub
here it’s full of the usual facebook dross though so be warned.
It is however a listed building as detailed
here.
