Southport Pier is the second longest in the Great Britain at 1112m, if your legs can’t manage the walk then catch the tram from the Promenade (and back of course).

A marvellous vista of Blackpool to the north is available as well as the seascape, see if you can spot the sea when the tide is out.

You’ll need twenty pence to use this coin-op telescope although when I visited on 14th July 2012 it was not working (temporarily).

The entrance to the pier is on the Promenade, Town Centre PR8 1QX

More info on the pier here
Cost to Operate: 20p (UK)

Primary Vista: The sea

Number of devices at the site: 1

Other Vistas at the location:
Blackpool, an oil rig.
