Built in 1873, the building that is now Mrs. B's has served many functions such as a furniture store, mortuary and historic inn.
In the days of Buffalo Bill Cody, it was the office of his good friend and business partner Dr. Frank Powell. Powell lived in Lanesboro from 1877-1881 and Buffalo Bill was a frequent visitor to the area. It was in this building that he stayed when visiting Dr. Powell.
Toward the end of each summer, Lanesboro celebrates "Buffalo Bill Days" in honor of this famous frequent visitor.
