George S. Ely has one of the two tallest monuments in Forest Hill Cemetery. Apparently Ely was a traveling circus entertainer of some renown during his day. The obelisk has a drape over the very top, is near a tree, and so has a black stains over the top portion. Inscription on the base reads:
