The Chapel offers Interdenominational services of worship mid November through mid April. Services begin at 11:00am with indoor and outdoor seating.
The building was originally a country school and was purchased by the Methodist Church in 1921 as a mission. At that time the Chapel was known as Wayside Chapel. It was reorganized in 1948 and was purchased from the Methodist Church in 1954.
After the Christmas Eve service it has been the tradition, since 1950, for the worshippers inside and outside to gather together. The worshippers with lighted candles sing Christmas carols together outside the Chapel.
The small cemetery nearby bearing the Chapels name is maintained by The Chapel By The Sea.
