Small Baptist congregation housed in a yellow brick church building with a cornerstone having nothing but the date, 1948, on it. Above the door at the arched limestone front entrance are the words, First Baptist Church. While the current building is a little more than 60 years old, First Baptist has been in Hays much longer, having been founded on April 28, 1883 according to the Church Facebook page Link.
