The Alfred Parish Church Cemetery dates to the late 1700s to when the original North Parish Meeting House was built in 1784. The present church was built in 1834. The cemetery with a few hundred graves is the final resting place of many of the early community leaders along with graves of several Revolutionary War veterans.
