Born York, Maine on July 1, 1734.
April 28, 1775 muster role of Sanford Minutemen in the Battle of Lexington as Captain.
August 1, 1775 in Captain Bragdon's company Lieutenant and later was promoted to command company after Captain Bragdon resigned. He served eight months following that and became a Major.
