Phitsanulok is one of the many provinces of northern Thailand, somewhat more populous than most. The provincial capital has a population of ~80,000, while the province has 800,000 or so people. This region is devoted to agriculture and light industry. A pleasant spot, some might say the Buddhist Bible Belt.
The provincial court building is in a line of provincial government buildings running along the western shore of the Nan River, which runs through the centre of the city. The building follows a traditional design, and looks to be of some years, though it is in good repair. There was no English language signage or information present (few tourists in this neck of the woods).
