Vom Aussichtsturm beim Kühlbecken ist einen sehr guten Überblick über die Vogelwelt.
Ein Besuch lohnt sich zu allen Jahreszeiten: im Frühling - zur Ankunft von Rotschenkel und Blaukehlchen, im Sommer - zur Beobachtung der Grau- und Silberreiher, im Herbst zum Durchzug der nordischen Watvögel oder im Winter zum abendlichen "Ganslstrich". Wenn die Gänse in typischer Flugformation von den Futterplätzen zurück kommen und auf dem See landen, bietet sich ein beeindruckendes Bild.
