The third highest peak in the Great Smoky National Park nps.gov, High Top is reached by several hour hike on one of the five access trails. Unfortunately, there is no view at this summit which is in a grove of trees. And surprisingly, no elevation sign or like.

For a more detailed discussion on "Types of rock" used to build the cairn, see the usgs study on Mt. LeConte's geology.

Optional for fun, add your own rock to build up the cairn. Any size from any place. A small piece from the trailhead to a large slab picked up nearby.
