One of the largest and most accessible bird sanctuaries in the world, with more than 280,000 birds, Parc national de l'Île-Bonaventure-et-du-Rocher-Percé is a major tourist destination with boat and island tours from May to October. The most common bird found on the island is the Northern Gannet.
Île Bonaventure offers four trails, for a total of 15 km. To reach the colony of Northern Gannets, we usually use the sentier des colonies (Colonies trail) which offers a superb view of the famous Rocher Percé as well as evergreen forests and centennial homes.
