The Sanford Town Hall was built in 1908. The building was built on the former site of a family cemetery. The graves were moved to allow the building of the town hall. Ernest Goodall and family paid for the removal of the graves and for 60% of the building costs. The Goodall family has establish a large textile mill in the town and were the major employers in the town at the time. (The mill closed in 1954)

The town hall appears to be in good condition and continues to serve the town.
