Magdalena Reding was born the same year that Apache leader Geronimo surrendered with his last band of warriors to General Nelson Miles at Skeleton Canyon in Arizona.

The final resting place of Magdalena Reding is at the center of Rose Hill Burial Park, at the south end of section 12. Her flat, light-grey marker lists her name and years, with a cross and flowers etched into the left side. A family monument with only the name "Reding" is here as well.
